Features

Everything in Takt Gantt.

Every scheduling rule, drawn by the same code that runs the app, and every tool a project manager reaches for.

What sets it apart

What other Gantt tools leave to spreadsheets.

Commitments

Know the moment a promise is at risk

Flag each date you promised a customer or your own team. Each time you update the schedule, Takt checks it against the new forecast and marks any slip in days, so you know before your customer does.

  • Customer and internal commitments, never mixed
  • Every moved date keeps its history

Highlights

Make one path jump off the chart

Colour a phase, its bars and the links between them, and the path to a milestone stands out from everything else. Links between two bars of the same colour follow by themselves.

  • Phases, bars, links and commitment flags
  • Saved with the plan and kept in every export

Export with markup

Send a schedule your customer can read

Export the Gantt as a PDF or image with your logo, a title block and a footer. Circle the date that matters, add an arrow and a note, and send it without opening a slide deck.

  • Presets for customer and team copies
  • Letter, Tabloid, A4 or A3, split over numbered pages

Know who has room before you promise a date

Plan each person by week across every project, in steps of 25%. PTO shows hatched, open room shows grey, and anyone booked over 100% is outlined in red.

How Takt moves your dates.

Critical path

See which tasks set your finish date

Takt works out float for every task as you plan. Red bars are the critical path: slip one and the finish moves. Every other task shows how many days it can give.

  • Float and critical path update on every edit
  • Drag a bar and watch the finish react

Links and lag

Link the work the way it really happens

Finish to start, start to start, finish to finish and start to finish, with lag or lead. Type 1FS+2 like in any scheduler and Takt moves the bars on working days.

  • All four link types
  • Lag and lead in working days

Start no earlier than

Hold a date without breaking the chain

Pin a task when a permit, a delivery or a site window says it cannot start sooner. A pin only holds a task back. It never pulls work earlier or hides a delay.

  • The gap before a pin shows as slack
  • Pins stay honest when the plan moves

Pauses

Stop a task for PTO or a customer delay

Put a pause inside one task and Takt pushes its finish and everything linked after it. Work that is not paused stays where it is.

  • Pause one task or everyone
  • Note why: PTO, transit, customer delay

Task slack

See how much room every task has

Dashed tails run from each bar to the latest it can finish without moving your end date. Red bars have none, and Takt tells you why.

  • Slack in days on every bar
  • A float column when you want the numbers

Count transit and curing in calendar days

Sea freight and curing concrete do not take weekends off. A Wait task counts every calendar day, so arrival dates match the real world.
